- 12/2/09- Marshall High School, Falls Church, VA: Ambassador Areikat addresses the International History students about the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict.
- 11/19/09- Palestinian International Day of Solidarity Reception: hosted by the PLO Mission at the Ritz-Carleton in Pentagon City.
- 11/14-11/15-PLO Mission Communications Workshop: focusing on Social Media, Community Capacity Building, Public Advocacy, and Effective Communication Strategies. The idea was to develop an extensive and successful communication skills among Palestinians both in the US and abroad. The workshop included 37 participants from all over the US and Canada.
- 10/15/09- ATFP Gala: Remarks made by Ambassador Areikat presenting a letter from Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
- 12/8/09- Speaking engagement, Brookings Institute: Ambassador Areikat spoke at a Brooking Institute seminar entitled "US National Security". The Ambassador discussed the Isralei-Palestinian Crisis, from a Palestinian perspective providing insight and about prospects for peace negotiations.
